Statement

My work conveys “snapshots” of the past; though particular instances may not be remembered, every
experience makes up who we are today.

The subject matter of my images can be translated into adult themes of safety, comfort, and happiness, juxtaposed with the unrealistic goals we often set to achieve these basic human needs; needs imposed upon us by modern day ideals.

My work is both funny and sad, with a touch of sarcasm and social comment; exploring notions of social taboos, domesticity and societal roles in contemporary culture. In a nutshell, the impact of childhood on adulthood.
